Feedback sent but, really, Apple won't listen. They think Ping is something we need. After all, they've been thinking (differently) for us for decades now. 😉

Why don't they just make it so you can either choose to have Ping displayed in your sidebar (left) or Genius results!

If I turn off Ping will the Genius Sidebar come back???!!!

Thanks for the update. They should have let people know the Genius sidebar would be no more! I just assumed you would be able to choose what you wanted to have in the right sidebar. That's what I get for assuming.

This makes no sense to me! I've bought so much music through the Genius Sidebar! Does anyone think this is a good idea!? Please bring the Genius Sidebar back! Seriously!

That's Apple for ya...ramming changes down users' throats and leaving them with no choice in the matter.

What's interesting is that when Genius first appeared, folks had much the same reaction as they are having with Ping.

I just did that very thing. I uninstalled iTunes 10.0.1 and reinstalled 10.0. My Genius Sidebar is back...

Except in this case Apple in their "infinite wisdom" removed functionality and a revenue enhancement at that. Not smart..

They may, to a degree. BUT: we know this is a user to user, so where else can a person complain, have someone actually read your complaint, and then commiserate with you about what a crappy job ⚠ is being done? I for one would like to know, although I am sure someone here will get on their high-horse and direct me to the complaints department for Apple, Inc.
Sorry, I just have about had it with Apple, Facebook and the like! Yes, they decide what WE need/want, ram it down our throats, and like lemmings...off we go. I know they won't "hear" my complaints, or yours for that matter, but hey, at least we can agree with each other and know that we aren't the only "fools" in the boat. (and yes, I consider myself one of those fools, I mean, I use itunes, ipods, facebook, along with everyone (?) else.)

You are not entirely correct. I have been contacted directly by Apple regarding a problem that I posted in these forums. They peruse them, make no mistake.
