Can we have the Genius sidebar back please iTunes 10.0.1?

I really really want my Genius sidebar back. I thought it was awesome. Ping will not be as helpful in identifying new songs I want to purchase. I made many many purchases through the Genius sidebar recommendations and this is a poor decision for Itunes as it will reduce my own, and I'm sure many others', purchases on itunes.

It's how I purchase ALL my music on iTunes!!!!! Shocking oversight. I'd get it if they phased out after PING reached critical mass but this is just unbelievable. Be curious to know what kind of revenue loss this will equate to. Baffling.

just click the icon at the bottom to close the sidebar and don't think about it.

Yep, please bring it back. I actually bought music suggested by genius. i don't care about ping because I don't give a crap what anyone else listens to.

I will buy less music from iTunes without the Genius sidebar. I guess that goes for lots of people. That means that the sales will be impacted and Apple will soon get the Genius sidebar back again!

Oh, sorry. My comment was not clear. I don't want to get rid of the sidebars (that's easy to do). I want the option to get rid of all traces of Ping and all traces of Genius.

Also, why are people complaining about Genius going away? I still have a Genius option on left menu. When I click it says it create Genius Playlists, Genius Mixes, Genius Sidebar and Genius Recommendations. I don't want to click the "Turn on Genius" button though...

Thanks - I hated Genius (and wish I could remove it from my iPod too) - no clue as to what Ping is but I'm downloading the update as I type. Thanks
ps. in response to the comment about reduced sales: I've no idea why people use iTunes Store to buy music as it's generally more expensive than Amazon/Play or a hard copy of the CD.
Ok, maybe I shouldn't have been so hasty to update to 10.0.1 - how do you hide the Ping menu option (under Store in LH bar) in the Preferences? I keep the Store visible purely for ease of access to (free) Podcasts/iTunesU so I'd rather not hide the whole Store. And I'm not too sure about the new 'arrows' as it means a second mouse-click to go to the Album, though I'm sure I'll get used to it.

I downgraded back to 10.00 from 10.01. Hate the new Ping sidebar, submitted a request for the old Genius sidebar. First color icons in iTunes (which I fixed with a hack off the internet, but still), then the stoplight close/minimize/maximize icons, now this!! Really Apple! I loved iTunes 9, but iTunes 10 brings a lot of new and bad changes.

How do you downgrade? I love my Genius sidebar!

Have submitted a complaint regarding the missing genius sidebar. Bring it back!

All you have to do to get the itunes genius sidebar back is to simply go to the button on the left sidebar click on it and on the right semimiddiel you should see an option to turn on genius an it runs you through the process of turning it back on hope this helps
