iPhone 4 Home button issue...

I have tried to read on here and find out if anyone is having any home button issues but I can't seem to find anyone with the issue I am having. When I press my home button it works about 95% of the time. However, about 5-10 times a day it will not register the push at all and I have to push it again and it works. It's not something that really bothers me its just rather annoying. Anyone know anything about this? Also, has anyone noticed when you do push the home button it takes just a couple more seconds to close the app than the older iPhones? I have a 3G still and when I push the home button it instantly goes to the home page. Its just a little delayed with the IP4. I have compared it several times. Does anyone else have this issue? I'm wondering if its all just my phone because I haven't been able to compare my IP4 to anyone else's. I'm just wondering if all of this is any reason at all to get my phone replaced. I'm thinking it's not at all but I am just wondering who all else is having a problem or noticing a delay. I don't have any other issues with my phone. Just the home button. & if it helps any I have had my phone since day 1 of launch. I pre-ordered it.

Dear Adel,
I have bought the IP4 in Sydney unlocked. From the very beginning I had the home button problem 8 out to 10 times when was pressed. As I posted, when I placed in off, the location services, the home button only failed 2 out to 10 times, so for me is a software problem. When I place on the location services the problem starts again. Also every week I blow some pressure air in the plug slot, cause somebody told that might be dust in any place. Since 4,2.1 software was installed, by the moment I had not the problem. I will cross fingers.
I am also agree that is not a precise software problem, is randomly in every IP4, other customer posted that the problem was the camera application. I am agree that some apps stuck the home button.
But if you have bought the IP4 in USA, must be returned to the place were bought it for exchange.
I have 2 friends that had exchanged twice the IP4 and still have the home button problem.
Believe it or not!!!!!!

I am also having problem with my IP4. No response from the phone when I pressed the Home button once sometimes or the multi-task bar pops up. It's so random and getting more frequent as time goes by.

I bought the phone direct from Apple store online and called them. Was given a case number and told to go to Singtel to report my problem.....***....

Will do so tomorrow and write my updates here.

I updated to 4.2.1 and the problem is still the same. It may be a little better. It's not anything that really annoys me anymore. I've almost gotten used to it. Some things are better to have than others. Like I said, the replacement phone I was sent, the head set jack didn't work at all. So it could always be worse. I'd rather have this issue then all the other issues.

I had this same problem. Had to go to the Apple store twice before I got someone who was willing to replace it. She replaced it without me even showing her the issue.

It was incredibly annoying and I hope that it doesn't happen on this new one. As this is my 3rd iphone 4. The first one had an "invalid sim card" problem that kept popping up.
