Cant import Dido & Natalie Imbruglia CDs

Hi,

Just got my new 60GB sexy black iPod an am now rushing full steam ahead to get all my music onto it. Some CDs however seem to really screw up iTunes. Dido - Life for Rent, Dido - No Angel & Natalie Imbruglia - Shiver.

On investigation it appears these CDs dont play normally on a PC, they install their own player first and then the player plays the tracks. They do show up on Explorer as audio CDs but when I browse them there is no music visible?

Is there a work around to get the musinc off these CDs and into my iPod.

Sounds like you have 3 CDs with some kind of digital rights mgmt software on them. What label, Sony?

I always look to make sure they don't have those warnings on the back. My own personal boycott.

You might be able to burn them as MP3s to another CD and import them to iTunes, but what a hassle since you've already paid for it, right?

Will the store take them back?

Don't know if this is going to help you but I have just imported Dido - No Angel with no problems.

CD catalogue no 74321-83274-2

It is a hybrid CD as it has Enhanced Videos on but it still has the Compact Disc Digital Audio logo on.
