Comcast Activation Screen on iPad

I set up a wireless hotspot in our office using an AirPort Express. Plugged the express into the ethernet port on our Comcast cable modem and then into the wall socket. Up and running in no time. My mac connects to the wireless network just fine but when I try to connect with my iPad I get this activation screen from comcast asking for our account number. I put in our account number and the next screen is for Comcast Xfinity. I read this is an app that turns your ipad into a remote control for the tv. Well I hit download and I get an error that sayss Safari can't download this software. I assume this is because it is an app and needs to be downloaded from the app store. Anyway, I can't get rid of this screen so I can't use my iPad at work. Anybody else have this issue. I might add that I have Comcast at home and an AirPort Express and I connect just fine without this activation screen. Any help would be appreciated. Comcast support is worthless.

This should terminate the app that is hanging (from iPad Users Guide):

Press and hold the Sleep/Wake for a few seconds until a red slider appears, then press and hold the Home button until the application you were using quits.

If that doesn’t work, turn iPad off, and then turn it on again. Press and hold the
Sleep/Wake button until a red slider appears, then drag the slider. Then press and
hold the Sleep/Wake button until the Apple logo appears.

If that doesn’t work, reset iPad. Press and hold both the Sleep/Wake button and the
Home button for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.

it's the DNS settings for that wireless router - I battled with this for some time until finding this site:

Ever since I switched to a "slower" internet connection with Comcast (6Mbps to 3Mbps) I had this same problem and searched for several hours on it until finding this. The slower Comcast (which works fine for me) I had to change the DNS server from automatic to "4.2.2.1, 8.8.8.8" First one being preferred and second one being aternate. I had to do this on my home computer too. Now I don't get that stupid Comcast Xfinity activation screen only.
