voice memos not showing up in itunes

I had this problem, read the complete thread and nothing suggested was useful. I decided to try apple support and i got lucky with the guy that helped me (it took 2 hours in the phone tho). I was trying to copy my voice notes from an iphone4 to a mac. He explained that the software versions for iphone4 only get to some 7.something because of the hardware limitations and newer versions are already 10.0 or 12.0 so it is the incompatibility between software versions that make this sometimes a bit tricky, or even impossible. I had to do several security copies and then i ran the copy in my iphone5 which is capable of having the newer software version. then i could finally transfer all of them to my iphone5 first and then synced it to itunes successfully.
