missed call notification for iPhone 4: how to?

Looks like that was a bad idea, I thought it is pretty standard to get a missed call/TXT notification these days.

All my phone I had in the last 10 years or so had that, pretty basic.

I am on call some weeks and it is essential to me that I don't miss any calls. We have SLAs that require a call back after 15 min.

That would mean I have to press the fri....ing home button every 15min, that's just pathetic.

Is someone from Apple reading this post? I assume not or at least they don't give a rats a..e.

I've posted on Apples response website.

Talked to customer support, which was friendly and understood my problem, but couldn't help.

Do it fast. I could not return mine on time, but i won't get an iPhone 6 to replace my 5S if it still lacks the missed call/message indicator.

The resale value on iPhones tends to be quite high. I sold my iPhone 5 for $25 more than I paid for it. You can aways sell yours and use the proceeds to defray the cost of a new phone that does what you need.

Please note the portion of your post I quoted and who I replied to. I was replying to you and the fact that you had not returned yours in time.

As I said, I will change of phone brand since it seems that the new iphone 6 still lacks this basic feature. I won't sell my current 5S for the same reason that I didn't sell it as soon as I realized that there was no way to know know if I had a missed call without activating the phone and that I couldn't return it: I don't want the hassle. I will give it to my wife. After all, she never cared about missed calls.
