Alarm Clock - not working after Day Light Saving

After Day light saving my alarm clock has not been working properly. The time on the phone has changed but the alarm is going off an hour early. so if it is set for 6am the alarm goes off at 5am. However this only happens when the alarm is a repeat alarm, so I have an alarm that is set for weekdays & it goes off an hour early but if i just set a 1 off alarm it will work fine??? I restored my I-Phone 4 & made sure i had the latest software but it is still having the same problem.

Any ideas?

I've been one hour late this morning because of this problem.
*How many people have been late in the morning because of this problem ?* The impact is huge !
I am so sorry Apple could release such a bug in such a basic feature ! Apple meant reliability. What does it mean now ? It is not the first problem of its kind.
What can I do now ? Fear every morning ? NO ! I will go for Android.

The settings are not incorrect. Been using the alarm for two years with no problems. No settings have been changed. Apple, please fix the problem immediately. Apple - did you notice that 10 plus people all reported the same problem on or around the time we updated? Take a hint ... Statistics ... math ... i am not a tyko user here guys ... this is a slap in the face. GET IT FIXED. I had to set two alarms again ... One in case it rights itself, and one an hour later than it should be so that until it is fixed, it rings on time. There is the clock - reading the right time, the alarm reading the wrong time, and yet the alarm rings at the right time (even though it is an hour later) ... don't waste our time ... get this fixed ...

I also experienced this problem after daylight savings in the UK came into effect. I have been successfully using the iPhone alarm ever since I got it a year ago, so I also believe this has something to do with the clocks changing and not just some 'random' bug from my iPhone. After spending the day setting, deleting and resetting the alarm to see if I could get it to work, I finally managed to set a new recurring alarm up BUT I have to set it one hour earlier that when I want to get up! So my alarm, according to the alarm goes off at 5:15am, but it is actually 6:15am. I hope this gets fixed soon as I go to bed now worrying if the alarm will go off at all!!!

Problems like this are bound to get more common as the world gets more electronicized. Gizmos are always going to be bug-prone, and mortal. Depending on one device for anything as important as getting to work on time is asking for trouble. Get an old-fashioned wind-up alarm clock!

If you must use electronics, use at least two. I mean, two completely independent devices. Make sure they are not connected in some way so that if one fails it will disable the other.

and here I was thinking I was going mad or my phone was bust. So glad Im not the only one - and thanks guys I think Im now sorted until the patch comes out. I've just put my alarm to every since blinking day - now it goes off! people suggesting setting are wrong must be deluded - do they think we just screw things up and make ourselves late just because we're messing about with settings!?!?! Barmy.

This is after reinstalling os4 etc. Shame Apple have got this wrong.

Im using an iphone 4.

To all the users on here who posted that this was our settings, please read the following quote from Apple. “We’re aware of this issue and already developed a fix which will be available to customers in an upcoming software update,” Apple says ..., so please stop coming on this site and telling us how we should have abck up alarms, set our time to set automatically, and whatever other non-sense. This was, ahem IS, a software issue that demands a software fix. Period. Forums are for educated discourse, not plebian or callous responses. Don't worry - I awoke just fine ..., I just wan't my iPhone to wake up on time too ...

Well I am using an iphone 3G and updated the OS around about the same time as the clocks went back. I have had the same repeat alarm on since getting my phone in April 2009 and it suddenly stopped working this week. I tested setting up a new alarm on repeat which also didn't work. I then deleted all my alarms and set up a one-off alarm for two minute's time, which worked. I then deleted this alarm and set up a new one-off morning alarm, which worked, woohoo! So I then tried doing it on repeat again and, alas, this morning, no alarm. It doesn't go off an hour earlier or later for me so that's odd, too. Either way, this is ridiculous. The phone is set to the right day and time so why won't the alarm correspond with that? By the looks of things Apple are working on fixing it but for now I'll just have to set a new alarm every night and hope for the best!

Ok, crazy, it has just gone off an hour later. I think I must have been switching the alarms off or deleting them before. Seeing as it has also done it with the alarm on repeat I guess I could just set it an hour earlier to when I actually want it to go off until Apple fix it. Odd how the one-off test alarms I set went off at the correct time though.

Hi, one way it works is if you set with no day on it the night before. This is the only way I have used the alarm successfully since it stopped working correctly. So just try setting it each night. I know it Is a pain in the a.. but it has works for me. The other option that I have only tried today is setting each separately. I wish they would work out all the kinks because the battery life and Internet quality on this phone is second to none.
