Print two 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 pages on one 8 1/2x11

I'm making a photo directory for church. I have 92 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 sheets that i'd like to print out, two per page on 8 1/2x11 paper, single sided. Every time i try to print them two on a page, they're scaled down. There are only white margins on these pages, and i can't seem to get pages to print a single 8 1/2x11 piece of paper with two full-sized 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 documents side by side. any help would be awesome! i'm printing on a konica minolta bizhub c220 if that makes a difference.

Hi Mike,

The best way to do this seems to be to Print to PDF, all 92 pages of it. Then open the PDF document in Preview and Print 2 to the page from Preview. You will have %-scale control if you need to make adjustments. Best to try printing to PDF first to debug. Saves paper.

i don't mind preview...what i mean was that apple's printing abilities should be easier 🙂 thanks again for the help.

Also, I figured out how to work around it in pages. If i insert two blank pages between my first and fourth (and so on down the list) i can "booklet" print and it'll do it properly.

I don't mind where the ability is, as long as it exists and is easy to get at. If (starting in Pages) you Print > PDF > Open PDF in Preview, then (in Preview) Print > 2 to the page, Scale to fit, PDF > Open PDF in Preview, you should be there. If you like what you see you can save it or print to paper.

I am trying to do a similar task, but with only 2 pages that I want to print on one 8-1/2 sheet of paper in landscape mode, but I want it to full up the paper, not print smaller. I have tried even making my font size almost double the normal size I would use, which made the printing look a little bit bigger, but there is still a lot of unused space on the page.

I'm not exactly certain I understand your directions. I saved the document as a PDF, but when I choose "multiple pages per sheet" I don't see any options to scale the document to a specific size.

This is something I do on a regular basis to save paper. Help!

This was way easier on my PC... all these print options were included in Word...

Get Create booklet (free), Booklightning or similar. There are several similar apps. You create the pages in the intended page size. Export to PDF and then use the booklet app. The app will imposition the pages and you print them on doubled size paper.
