Carbonite vs. Mozy

Any opinion on these? I just lost my second external usb drive that was using time machine, so I have made up my mind on going to the cloud. Mobileme is too small, as I need over 75G to be backed up and updated as I change (lots of movies and such).
My concerns are stability, speed, impact on performance of OSX.

If you are using optical media for backup, it is of paramount importance that you test your backups on that media periodically for possible failure of the media. If you don't test them at least quarterly you might as well just stick them on the shelf and label without running them through the drive. You can have about as much faith that you will recover your data either way.

Thanks for this post! This is exactly what I wondered about. I was considering loading Carbonite on my Mac. However, I used Carbonite on a PC and noticed that it ran my CPU constantly. I love my Mac and don't want to "crap it all up" with stuff that slows it down. I have had ZERO problems with external drive backups using Time Machine. However, I think it is a good idea to have more than one and rotate the storage off-site. One question that I do have is; it was suggested that you "test" your external drives periodically. How do you test them? (I know this is a stupid question).
