HUD Bug in 3.1

I verified that bug with a new user account on my MB 13" (10.6.4, latest Pro Update):
Whenever I quit AP 3.1, the width of the HUD is not saved. I prefer the HUD (in fullscreen mode) on the left side locked. Therefore I drag the width with the handle (bottom right) to minimum width and lock the position. After restart of AP 3.1 the HUD is blown up in the width and sometimes the thumbnail view shows very strange behavior: After resizing the HUD, the thumbnails stuck on the right side of the screen.
That is really annoying!
Any observations?

I am spamming Apple via the feedback feature on a regular basis. They do not care, support and service were better ten years ago. Meanwhile Apple is a main stream vendor like Microsoft and Adobe. The only things which are of the outmost relevance are money and the shareholder value. Customers are just people with money in their pockets. Let us go and get it!

And again!!

The next update passes without this bug being adressed!

BOOH Apple, really.

Can't tell you how annoying it gets to:

- switch to full screen

- open the HUD

- unlock the HUD with the slider

- resize the HUD to the value I like

- lock the HUD with the slider

EVERY single time I open Aperture.

We german customers seem to be of NO interest to Apple, unless we shell out some money, it seems....

yup, still the same for me as well!

I am stopping to comment on this. All I want to say is, that after using Aperture for more then 6 years I am seriously considering a switch to a different solution. And that is even with a 6 digit number of fotos and the work it would take to bring them over to something else.

Sure, it's not this bug alone bringing me to that point, but their way to treat loyal customers and their unresponsiveness to what we might expect from their products in the future.

This lip-closed strategy is really ok for their "new" and "revolutionery" hardware products, but for existing software, that peaple are making their living with, this is really bad in my eyes.

Apple, not everything is iBlingBling!

I have to agree with you Ralf.

I don't expect to hear what shiny goodness they are working on, but I see no reason why they can't be a bit more forthcoming with professional users.

What harm in a roadmap for Aperture?

If they are intending to abandon it, surely giving users as much notice as possible is the most responsible approach? I really hope that they don't as the main alternative is Light Room and I don't like that much (although it does now support RAW from the Fujifilm X-Pro 1, which I have and like, which Apple does not yet).
