converting .qcp to .mp3

I have an LC phone that records audio in .qcp format but I cannot get it to play on my Mac mini or my iMac G5. Does anyone know of a sound converter out there for Mac that help me to convert this to a file format I can play on my Mac or in iTunes?

iMac G5 17" 1.8Ghz (rev. A) bluetooth/airport 1.5GB RAM, Mac OS X (10.5.8), Apple BT KeyB/Wired Mighty Mouse; iPod 40GB Click Wheel

It also doesn't work. I've tried on-line converters as well. I have tried several other programs as well. I have heard changing the extension to .wav can get them to play in VLC but it doesn't work for my files.

Any other programs or suggestions? I think LG shouldn't be using this strange format any longer...but it seems they are not going to stop using it anytime soon.

Thanks for everyone's help but do you have any other ideas?
