faces missing in itunes when syncing with iphone

hope someone can help. ive recently just got round to updating my iphoto library and tagging all the faces. when i connect my iphone to sync with itunes and go to the photo tab, then select sync with iphoto, for some reason it is not showing all the faces ive tagged in iphoto this includes myself and my son, however my wife and second son appear with pretty much everybody else thats been tagged. has anyone experienced this before? is there something im missing?

Here is what I did. Unsync all pics, albums, faces, events, etc from ipad, and when asked if you want to remove them say yes. After that sync is done, and all pics are removed from ipad, click again to sync pictures, but only sync faces, nothing else. After that sync, faces should all be there. Then select whatever else you want to sync, events, places, albums, and photos. Sync again. Voila, all is synced.
