Can you transfer books from Kindle to I Pad?

Can you transfer books you have bought from Kindle to I Pad?

You can download the Kindle app for the iPad and access your Kindle purchases on your iPad that way. You can't access Kindle books through iBooks, though, if that's what you mean.
