Cannot login to Facebook: An unknown error occurred. Please try again later

Rhelms solution didn't work for me either. :/ I really don't understand why so many people are having trouble with this when so many other apps and websites interact with Facebook just fine. >_<

UPDATE: For some reason, Little Snitch was blocking iPhoto from reaching the Internet. I deleted the rule in the LS config window, tried to link with Facebook again and it worked. Hope this helps other folks!

I don't understand why the need for the IPhoto Uploader app. I was always able to simply click on the FaceBook icon in IPhoto to publish photos. Now it suddenly doesn't work - the "publish" button is grey as noted above and if I try to sign in to FaceBook through IPhoto, I also get the same error message as noted by kansasdc. I have IPhoto 09. I have no idea as to why this quit working. I never had the IPhoto uploader app so there seems no reason to have it now.

Where is the "turn on all apps" option, or are you saying that each app should be turned on individually? Either way, this doesn't seem to appy as there is no option, and in my case there are NO apps at all (the only one that was there was game from a long time ago which was deleted). So with no apps to enable, and no global enabling of apps, what would be causing this problem? Any guesses?

This is a fairly old thread, and Facebook and iPhoto have both been updated since this was started. However, the exact same thing happend to me today.

Here's what fixed it. I have my iPhone linked to my FB account. When I tried to log in from iPhoto, I got a "unrecognized browser" in FB. I told it that it was OK and to save the browser. What I missed at first is that FB sent me a text with a different password to use when logging in from iPhoto.

I used the new iPhoto password, and it worked.
