Nissan bluetooth and iPhone

The problem that I am having is that I can't use my bluetooth reliably with my iPhone 4. It worked fine with my iPhone 3G. What I get is that 50% of the times, I can't answer an incoming call. It simply does not pickup. When it does, it triggers a bug on the iOS that makes my ringer get stuck in the first seconds of the ringtone. The only way to get the call in from that point is to put the phone on speaker mode and revert it back. Once this happens, the ringer will be messed up until I reboot the phone and this issue has drained by battery twice already.

I already reset the phone 3 times, the last time as a new phone. The problem still prevails. Anybody else having this issue. I took my phone to the Apple Store Genius Bar, and they diagnose it as normal.

I have a 2012 Altima and an iPhone 5 running iOS 7.0.3. While I have no trouble connecting to the bluetooth, it periodically drops out. In fact, it happens just about every time I use the car. The screen says "Searching for Bob's iPhone 5." Again, this after initially connecting. It has always done this since I got the car, but it is happening MUCH more frequently on iOS 7.

Any suggestions?

Nice to know, I had continual problems with a 4S and my 2012 Altima, when I went to an iPhone 5 with 6.1.4 and my 2012 Altima finally it works probably 95% of the time, the other times it will cut out but usually reconnects. I will avoid the upgrade to iOS 7+, because 1) the troubles you had 2) iTunes 11 is a mess and 3) iOS 7 still seems buggy and I don't like the general look and feel

Re Nissan bluetooth and iPhone

I just bought an iPhone 5S and initially had trouble pairing it with my 2007 Nissan Maxima Bluetooth unit. I kept getting a message on the iPhone screen saying the iPhone had failed to connect. I read the posts to this thread and was very discouraged. Fortunately, I had an AT&T sales person who knew how to pair the phone and the unit. My mistake had been to give up on the pairing process as soon as I saw a failed connection message pop up on the iPhone during the pairing procedure.. The At&T sales person ignored the pop up message on the iPhone while we completed all the steps in the pairing process dictated by the Maxima Bluetooth system. Once all the steps were completed (i.e., naming the phone, giving a priority number, etc.), the failed connection message disappeared and the iPhone was successfully paired. Problem completely solved.

Same issue here - iPhone 6 Plus 128GB will not work properly with my 2014 Nissan GTR. I've done all the obvious steps of deleting and repairing...I can pair but the functions do not work.

My previous iPhone 5S worked flawlessly. Apple needs to respond to this ASAP. Every driver has been taught not to use the phone when driving so Bluetooth working properly is of utmost importance. Apple please address.

Hi all!

Found a fix for specifically the 2014 Nissan Murano.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e3kDDVlsgF8

It worked for me after purchasing an iPhone 6 and losing my streaming audio in the same vehicle in which it has worked flawlessly with the original iPhone 5.

Good luck, as this bit of info has made me SO happy🙂 as I am a technician for a large communications company on the east coast and could not believe the fix was this easy.

It is a little too detailed for me to give verbatim instructions, however you can google, "2014 Nissan Murano bluetooth streaming audio instructions." for the same link.

I am new to all of this and I find it so hard to accept that this problem has been around so long and STILL has not been fixed. My comments a little earlier today (January 23, 2015):

"It looks like this thread ended in October, 2014.

My wife and I are new to Apple and smartphones and we bought 2 new iPhone 6 smartphones about 2 weeks ago (January 2015).

Today we took delivery of a new Nissan Altima. The sales person attempted to connect our phones via bluetooth, and both phones failed to connect.

I don't know technical stuff about iPhones, but since oursare brand new, I assume they have the latest IOS version. BTW, how do I tell the IOS version?

Anyone else have a fix or workaround for this problem?

Thank you."

I have a 2014 Murano Platinum The Bluetooth has never worked properly in this vehicle; it has so much static that calls are almost impossible to hear.

For a year and a half I have hounded the Nissan dealer, called Nissan support to complain. The dealer has tested my iPhone 6 and they found it too hard to hear because of static. When they paired a Samsung it worked perfectly in my car. I'm told it's because Nissan technology has not perfected the iPhone version 9.2. With iphones being one of the most popular phones in existence I find it hard to believe that all Nissan owners can't use their phones. My phone works perfectly in a Toyota Camry. So Toyota has figured it out, but not Nissan? Help!

The video link sends us to a private video

Hubby has 2008 Nissan Titan and can pair his iphone6s iOS 10.1.1 and he can make calls but when someone calls him the phone will not ring through the Bluetooth and when he answers the person calling him cannot hear him unless he changes his audio to speaker or iPhone.

Any other ideas??
