Delete camera roll directly from iPhone 4?

I've seen the instruction to "tap the trash can," but I only get the trash can to delete individual photos. Is there a "delete all" option?

I'm thinking if you were away from the computer and wanted to delete all or groups of photos.

iPhone 4

iMac 266ghz 24", Mac OS X (10.6.4), also, iBook G4 from Sept. '04, 10.5.8, 1.25 GB ram

There is no "delete all" option or "select all" option.

You can select more than one photo at a time to be deleted followed by selecting Delete.

Would be nice to have the option to "delete all" from I-Phone. For non-mac users...you will probably smack your head when you realize how simple it is. When you plug (USB) to your windows laptop/CPU. Just like a digital camera/USB drive stick...just goto your "computer". Then look at your devices/portable devices/etc. Click on your "(I-Phones Name) I-Phone" Icon. Click on the "internet storage" icon next. Then click on "DCIM" icon next.

Um...if you have gotten this far...I'm sure you know what to do next.

cheers.

To delete photos from iPhone Camera Roll, you can:

  1. Delete photos on iPhone one by one;
  2. On PC, connect iPhone with PC > Open Camera Roll folder > Delete all photos
  3. On Mac, connect iPhone with Mac > Launch Preview> Go to File> select Import from iPhone > select photos> click Delete icon

If you need a comprehensive way to delete all photos from iPhone, including from iPhone Camera Roll and Photo Library, you might need to read:
