How to delete purchased history

On the Apps tab there's a 'Sync Apps' checkbox and a scroll area where all the purchased (or free) apps appear, even if they've been removed from the ipod and -manually- from my mac (~/Music/iTunes/Mobile Applications/). I'm interested in removing them from that scroll area.
I can see they exist also in the Account section by clicking in the 'Purchase History' button. I'm imagining that's why they still exist in the scroll area mentioned above.

Is there a way to remove all those free apps?. I do want to keep apps that I paid for but not the ones that are free.

Not for purchased music, which is my only real problem with iTunes.

I have 1.8K albums in my iTunes collection. I bought, a terrible terrible iTunes Original, 5 years ago? and I hate the fact that I spent the money. It was truely a terrible waste of money, time and effort.

When I go to "Puchased" "Music" "Not In My Library", on iTunes Store, the only thing on the page is a reference to that horrible, terrible album that I hate. And, there are 5 entries on the left sidebar, one for each of the terrible artists that created the single terrible album that I today still regret purchasing.

So I am constantly reminded that I made a purchasing mistake, which makes me feel bad and makes me think twice about purchasing another album from the iTunes Store.

All I need is a way to tell the iTunes Store that I am not interested in this specific terrible horrible album.

Please.

5. A notification will pop up telling you that your purchased app will now be hidden and how you can un-hide it in the future. Click OK. The app will disappear from your purchase history in iTunes and all associated iOS devices instantly. Verify this on your iOS device by navigating to your purchase history in the App Store.

Exactly, YOUR PURCHASED APP WILL BE HIDDEN and not DELETET.
