sr 16 drum machine by alesis

Does anyone know how to sync this drum machine with the tempo within logic pro 9. I want to first try it with a drum instrument track within logic like ultra beat and then latter try a midi track drum pattern beat off of the sr 16. I just want to be able to make beats and record within the tempo of logic so they match. I wrote Alesis, but I am awaiting a response. Thanks so much , Lou

I've never worked with the SR16 but I'm sure it has MIDI sync. You have to find that option in the menu and set it to external sync. It probably also has "Follow song position" so that it always starts at the same position as the progress bar in Logic.

If you want to sync Logic as a slave, you have to switch to external MIDI clock in Logic and leave the SR16 in internal clock.

Good luck.

Logic no longer syncs to MIDI clock.

I have an SR16, haven't used it for a while but it will sync to external MIDI clock. Don't you have the instructions for it? I'm sure you can find tha manual on-line.
