Why is BBC iPlayer no longer in AppStore?

I'm a UK user. I installed BBC iPlayer some months ago. I'd now like to formally report a complaint so I tried to reach that facility ('Report a problem' I think it's called) on the AppStore on my iPad. But the app appears to have vanished!

(BTW, my complaint is that every programme I've watched with it has had video and audio out of sync. Very irritating, and spoils the viewing.)

Wasn't the app just a link to the web site - bbc.co.uk/mobile or www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer ? iPlayer is just a web service, so just go to the BBC's iPlayer web site and look for support there. I think it is under the "more -> contact us" section (they have at least a searchable FAQ).

P.S. there is the caveat that for iPlayer, you'll need a connection of min. 1Mbps, so could it have been an issue with your iPad's's network connection speed, or was this over wifi?

Not being abe to download from the UK iTunes App Store what is this guys? To the average Mexican it certainly appears to be an app. 😉

Things have changed in the last 12 months since this thread was last posted to.

There is now a dedicated iPad iPlayer App. A year ago, there wasn't.

Sorry, it just popped up on my horizon. So there is indeed an iPlayer app today, 21 NOV 2011?

There seems to be a rash of newbies digging up old threads to answer. I am not sure why, are they looking for points?

Yes, now there is a dedicated BBC iPlayer app (first released in February 2011) - a year ago there wasn't, just a web iPlayer.

Probably just newbies doing a generic search on Google, clicking an ASC result and replying without checking the dates.
