NUS Further Education Discount?

I'd like to start by saying I'm sorry if this is in the wrong forum.

I have just phoned apple to see how much discount I would get with an NUS Student Discount Card for Further Education and was told my college is not applicable. Why is this? I have the NUS card, which I am clearly fully elligable for as I couldn't have got it otherwise. NUS also advertises upto 15% discount on a new Mac for card holders for both Higher and Further Education.

Should I be applicable for this discount? Would it be possible to get the NUS discount without disclosing my college. For example could I just say I want the Further Education discount from the NUS card and then email a photocopy to the Apple employee that serves me?

If anyone is interested here is what I am looking to buy:

-Macbook Pro 15"
-2.8GHz i7 Processor
-High-res screen

It is £1773 with the Further Education discount and £2039 without, so it isn't like it is just a small saving either.

Many thanks to any replys.

In order to use your NUS FE discount to order online, you have to be connected via your school's campus network. Try that first. Go to Apple Store for Education and look up your school.

"*Note: You can only use our University (HE) or College (FE) stores when connected via your campus network. If you are off campus you can still order by calling 0800 072 1154."

Other than that, you should contact NUS about the Apple discount. You may have to log in to your card account in order to find the correct contact & information.
