Hi, Please help.

Problem installing OS X in my macbook! Complete about 10% sintall and then has error Input/output and has a Log of failed install
And I have to restart.

When it checks the disc before install is has an error and I ignore and try install anyway.
It does take about 30 min to check the DVD before install so maybe my DVD drive is not working well or maybe my disc is faulty because it does say
Check for finger prints after checking dvd > but the disc looks much better than most my disc’s unless it’s very fragile as it has miner marks.

I have tried install 8 times hoping to get lucky but always fails.

Please give me some advice! This is my first mac and it is second hand.
Tech level: I can build my own PC but Mac is new to me.

Ok I did it!
I had to wait 7 days for a 8gig flash drive because the 4 gig was not big enough and I corrupted the OS trying to hack it up > not saying it not possible
But I failed.

Useint Mac drive to copy the full install Disc did not seem to work but I tried only one time with the limited knowledge I have.

To get this to work I used a g4 powerbook and made a bootable drive, enabled permissions all that.
Then put the slightly faulty disc (I used a 99p cleaning/repair kit as well) in the g4 and made a restore to the 8gig flash drive and then plug it in the macbook and it worked first time
Installing in about 12mim.

If anyone gets mac drive on a pc to do this job, please let me know > I gave up.
