FINALLY, someone else has noticed this! The AVATAR movie is GONE from iTunes store, not that it's NOT available on the US store, IT was REMOVED! I have purchased the movie from iTMS via AppleTV in July 2010 ($14.99) and weird enough, when I wanted to watch it again last week it had disappeared from my AppleTV movie list. I then checked on my computer (KNOWING that I HAD it backed up on my computer). It's gone from my computer also! WEIRDER and WEIRDER.. Then I checked on iTMS directly.. and WHAT DO YOU KNOW.. it's missing from there also! Checked on google.. nobody (except today, 22Nov) seemed to have mentioned this fact. I know that Cameron is coming up with some new release (or update version of the Avatar with deleted scenes and much more.. and perhaps this is the reason for its mysterious disappearance). At any rate, my movie is gone, which infuriates me and makes me consider whether I should buy any more movies via ATV (since it appears that the movies that i BUY cannot really own.. indefinitely).
