Broadcast Message from root@Macintosh-5.local

This morning, while using terminal to ssh to another computer, I was getting messages like the one below. When I re-started my computer it wouldn't come back up so I did a disk repair and file permissions repair. I'm up now, but I recently had to reinstall my operating system because my computer failed to come back at all from a restart, and doing the disk repair, etc. didn't help.

So I'm concerned that this is in indication that something is still wrong. Thank you in advance for any help and direction! Here is the message that kept repeating every few seconds:

Are those the complete messages, or was there text expurgated at the ellipses?

Those are syslog messages, and usually controlled via settings in /etc/syslog.conf and /etc/asl.conf configuration files. (The lines in those involved are probably the "kern" lines.)

If you're not sure, post the files (and the full error message text) and we'll have a look.

There could well be issues here; there's not enough to go on.
