Anyone try AirPlay with their iPod Touch G4 & Apple TV yet ?

I plan on getting Apple TV to use with my HDTVs and 64GB iPod Touch that has HD movies on it like Toy Story 3 and was wondering if anyone tried viewing HD movies from the iPod Touch using AirPlay yet. BTW I just upgraded to iOS 4.2.1 so it should be ready to go.

MacMini 2.26Ghz 4GB / 64GB iPod Touch 4G, Mac OS X (10.6.5), 6 Core PC Coolermaster HAF X Window 7 64

need some help!

Ipod touch 4g working with os4.2 and airport express. Touch sees apple tv via airplay but fails to see my airport express??? this has however worked once. whenever i go to the list to connect to airplay the express isnt there. any ideas

go to Settings/General/Reset and reset just your network settings. that should work (did for me)

Sigh...

Whatever happened to the old days when you placed a DVD in your DVD player and hit the play button without having to worry about battery life and wireless streaming...just my 2 cents.

I have updated my 4th Gen ipod touch with 4.2.1. I have updated my new model Apple TV to the latest software. I wanted to establish a video on the iPod and direct it to play on my plasma TV via Airplay. When I attempted this I was using a video playing on Netflix as a test. I got the Airplay upload icon and directed, on the prompt, the video to the Apple TV. The audio of the movie commenced promptly, but "NO VIDEO". What goes here? What do I fail to understand? What video will play with Airplay? So much for the hype ios 4.2. Help!

I just received my ATV today and it worked great playing HD movies off my iPod Touch 4G . I will play more with it tonight.

I recently updated my iPod Touch 32GB 3rd gen and air play works great. If you have an 8GB version you might be out of luck as it has a slower processor, and does not receive the whole iOS update.

Airplay only works if you download the Remote App from the app store. It's free.

Yes.. Hd movies can be played on apple tv 3g. Without lag*

No, the Remote app is not necessary to AirPlay from an iOS device to an ATV or Express, the functionality is built into iOS itself.

No, that's not correct either. Back when I had a 2nd gen iPod Touch, it only went up to iOS 4.2.1 and I was able to AirPlay just fine.
