AirPrint problem with iPhone 4 and HP ePrint B110

Hey there,
since I've installed iOS 4.2, I've tried to print something via the new AirPrint function. But unfortunately my iPhone says "No printer found". Is there any other preference I need to set? The printer is connected via W-LAN. Printing with both my Macs works fine.
Any ideas?

Greetings from germany

Yes, i'm another one who can't get his iphone/ipad working with HP B110a printer/airprint and linksys WAG120N router. As you can see from this post in ipad thread - I went through lots of possible solutions:

http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?threadID=2765216&tstart=0

The problem is clearly the router - as others have suggested - as it works fine set-up on an AdHoc network. I suggest everybody contact Linksys - that's what I intend to do and ask for a fix/workaround? Their forums are not much help but the 'live text tech help' is quick useful.

Further to my comments made earlier today - I spoke to Linksys tech help. They were utterly useless unfortunately and basically said the fault is with Apple - to contact them...? They would not accept that Bonjour had a problem going through their router and they had no plans for a firmware update fix.

So is the problem Apples? HP? Or Linksys? I would have said Linksys - but as far as I can see they deny there is a problem and hence wont be fixing it. My only hope is Apple come up trumps and find a software fix or no we'll have no wireless printing or have to buy yet another router replacement (which just seems crazy as mine is not even 6 months old...?!)

I'm new to this problem, but strangely it's only the iPhone4 having a problem, the iPad finds the printer straight away and the iMac prints fine too over wireless so it's not a router thing.

On the phone quite often I will see the printer for about a second, then it disappears and cannot be found. Other times it's never there. Despite this I have actually printed 4 or 5 times from the phone, it was stable for about 10 minutes yesterday then went flakey again.

Anyone else having this come-and-go thing with their phone or other device?

PS all iOS versions are up to date etc.

Hi there, I am hoping that my problem can be resolved! it is a common one it would appear but as yet I have not been successful in seeing my printer once from either my iPhone or iPad; I can however see it from my MAC and Windows PC.

I have a HP B110a and it is only 2 days old amd has the latest Firmware and it can also load the Apps and print web contect. My router is a Belkin f5d8636 that I had to purchase as my old router would not work with the printer; this also has the latest firmware 2.00.20

My iPhone and iPad both have the latest IOS 4.3.2 but cannot see the printer and have never seen the printer!

Please some HELP!!

Thanks

Hi everyone,

I have the same issue as almost everyone on this post.

HP photosmart B110a and WAG 120N.

I can print wirelessy from a cheap windows netbook.

The eprint service works fine -> this indicates that the WIFI component of the printer works fine.

However:

1) I cannot print with the iPhone (it only appeared once on the iPhone, I printed an email, and then it was gone forever)

2) I cannot wirelessy print with my Mac Mini (only via USB). This because the printer comes and goes on Bonjour...

What should I do?!

I too have had major problems Wifi printing from my Ipad to my HP B110A printer since IOS 4.x onwards upgrades.

After much searching and trying different suggestions in various forums, I have discovered the problem was in my router and not the printer or Ipad.

Airprint uses the Bonjour packet service which requires the use of Port 5353, I set this port in the router to forward anything to my printer IP address and rebooted the router. (D-Link DSL-2680)

Instant success.

You may need to give your printer a static IP address if your router re-issues DHCP addresses to often.

Best of luck.

I envy you! I'm still struggling like others. At times the printer is visible when it is just switched on but dissappears in few minutes. I am using Beetel 450TC1 router. Can't be sure I did right for setting port forwarding, but success!

The setting is above. Did not know what name to apply for Application and set all for protocol.

Why can't Apple clearly spell out , it seems to be a problem with so many people !
