WiFi/Internet Incredibly slow after iOS 4.2 Upgrade

My wifi is incredibly slow after I upgraded two of the three iPads in my home to iOS 4.2. The other iPad that has not been upgraded works fine. In a side by side test loading the same web page, the iOS 4.2 iPad takes 5x as long. Any ideas on why this would happen?

This is incredible.

I have 3 Ipads - I upgraded 1 to the new OS and what a disaster!!!

Do not upgrade until Apple get this sorted out...

I have re-set the router. Re-set the network settings - I have tried manual IP settings. I have tried automatic settings.

Without the internet - this is just a very expensive paperweight.

What the heck is going on apple.....!!?

Got the fix for ya guys. It's a combination of a few posts above to correct. Both my iPad and iPhone were slow after the 4.2 OS upgrade until I did the following:
1. Go to Settings->General->Reset
2. Then select "Reset Network Settings" (this will not erase ur devices content, music, videos, email, etc. It will only erase any WiFi networks you have defined).
3. Once your device completes the action and gives you the normal home screen or Passcode screen, go ahead and power your device down and once you are sure the device is fully powered down wait an additional 60sec to allow internal components to fully discharge.
4. After the 60sec is up, power on your device again and re-add any encrypted WiFi networks you had defined.
5. Enjoy the "back to normal" WiFi and 3G speeds like you had prior to the OS upgrade.

Same problem here. Worked perfect before, VERY SLOW after 4.2 update. Tried the fix detailed above. Unfortunately it did not work. There is something else I just noticed; when typing in the google search bar, a popup appears and says "Google instant not available due to low connection speed". Huh? I'm on a pretty fast wifi connection at home. Apple and ATT does it again. They sure are having a string of self-induced bad luck. Thankfully our office is switching to Verizon in two months and switching our iphones and ipads to Droids Also, it saves me from having to buy my wife the iPad she wanted for X-mas!

I almost didn't apply the upgrade right away because I have been burned before. However, with all of the publicity surrounded the release of a second Gold Master, because of Wifi issues, I assumed the final release would have been thoroughly tested. Unfortunately, I was mistaken.

After attempting many different fixes, including those listed here, I have had no success on correcting my Wifi woes. In my case I have what appears to be a solid connection, but I am experiencing sluggish Wifi performance. When I do a Speedtest I get very erratic results, especially on upload. By watching the graph you can really see what's going on. What used to be a nice flat graph on both upload and download on OS 3.2.2, 4.2.1 tends to spike up and down on download and is a complete mess on upload.

Using my iPad used to be a very enjoyable experience, but now it's an exercise in patience. I am tired of wasting my time chasing this problem, it won't be corrected until Apple releases an update.

Geez! Just ran a speed test. 150 Kbps. ***??!! My home wifi service is a 1.5 Mbps service, and I have 1.2 Mbps connections with two different laptop connections right now. Sorry, I'm just venting, but this is the most ridiculous way to treat your customers I've seen in a long time. The ongoing iOS upgrade shenanigans over the last four months for iPhones and now iPads is deplorable! Apple must have been secretly purchased by Republicans! (calm down, TP'ers; it's a joke!)

I'm experiencing sporadic loss of Wifi connectivity and incredibly slow download/upload speeds on my iPhone 4 which began right after I updated to 4.2.

I've reset my modem, changed channels, etc., and have reset network settings on my iPhone 4 but the problem still persists. This is very upsetting and I do not want to have to revert to an older backup so that I can use Wifi on my iPhone.

My DSL connection is normally around 2Mbps and my Wifi is around 1.5Mbps but I'm experiencing download speeds around 0.20-0.40Mbps.
