Airplay when iPad sleeps?

I tried out Airplay last night to watch a movie. After 10 minutes my iPad went to sleep and the movie paused. Why would the iPad go to sleep when thing a movie?

It still happens to me intermittently, I restart the app I'm using or close all other open apps and it works again.

That would point to possible interference on the network

any suggestions on how to fix? and do you mean possible interference from other wifi products?

Other wifi products and networks. Check www.istumbler.net and check your router manual for changing channels.
