How can the Adobe Reader be disabled in Safari for Windows? I tried the options provided by Reader, but no effect. PDFs still open from within Safari using the Reader plug-in. I can see the plugin installed in Safari, but no way to remove it.
Thx Carolyn Samit & RichardF. Problem solved! 😉
I hate it when software do stuff automaticcaly without warnoing. Bad Adobe, bad. 😠
Hi there,
i know that answering to your issue after 2 years may sound like a joke but i heave the answer because i just experienced the same problem.
So even if i'am sure that you already fixed your problem, i post my solution for other people that may have problems in future 🙂 .
Just one right click on our PDF file, go to "Get info" and on the "open with" option choose "Perview" and than click on "Modify all".
Hope it was useful and sorry 4 my english.
The voices may not be correct because i'm italian and my Mac is in italian language, but i hope you can understand.
Cheers!
This didn't work for me, unfortunately, Daniela. My pdf has a message saying the following: Please wait...If this message is not eventually replaced by the proper contents of this document, your pdf viewer may not be able to display this type of document.
I'm desperate!!!
