Polish language use in Pages 09- How to install in Inspector?

There is no Polish dictionary supplied with Pages/OSX.

You will have to look to 3rd party solutions.

Yes, there is, it was added in 10.6 a year ago.

I can't find polish listed in the list of languages- how can I install it?

Update to 10.6 or try CocoAspell.

What does it mean when the language is below the line? ie Danish, Polish & Russian?

There was a recent post from a Polish user who declared the Polish checking unusable. I assumed he had got a 3rd party dictionary. Maybe that is what below the line means: "Use at your peril".

Not sure. Those are the most recent additions, I think. Perhaps the dictionaries are from a different source. Those you install yourself from the OpenOffice site also go below the line, with (library) after their name.

Perhaps it indicates the "below the line" subsisters on potatoes.

In the case of the Danes, those who speak with their mouths full of potatoes. 😉
