am i to understand that i CANNOT print from my iphone or my iPad to an Epson printer? I see references to HP printers. Great. Except all of my printers are Epson.
Tell me i'm wrong. this would really bite. surely apple knows that HP isn't the only printer company.
thanks

It appears that you can download the iPrint software for the phone/touch to print pictures. While this really doesn't do what I want (print email, web pages, etc) it does show that you can print to Epsom printers.
I imagine that one of these days all of these kinks will be worked out.
Which HP Printer do you have hooked up? It is possible if you have one of the AirPrint capable printers to hook it up Wirelessly to the Airport base station. Note that no Printer (even the AirPrint capable ones) will support using AirPrint to print directly from an iOS device to the Printer through an AirPort base station via USB. If this is the configuration you are looking for, check out one of the many Printer sharing features posted everywhere on this forum, including my [FAQ|http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?threadID=2658625&tstart=0] post.
If you read through here you will find a lot of people that have it working, and a good number of people that after reading the threads here got it to work.
What did AppleCare say when you called them? Or can you report your experience with calling HPs support line?
I answered your question in the other [thread|http://discussions.apple.com/message.jspa?messageID=12868134#12868134] you posted to. But just to reiterate, if you are sure you updated the firmware on your Printer, and opted in to the ePrint stuff during the update, then most likely the problem is with your Router blocking Bonjour.
I'm told that one of my 2 routers may not be "Bonjour compatible" What does that mean and can I fix it ? I'm having a problem getting "Printopia" to work between my iPhone 4 and my Mac Mini 2010, sending picture files.
Using one of 2 routers Printopia works fine, using the other router I get the dreaded "no printers found"
I think I found the right place, so I hope I can get a solution to my problem.
I have an iPhone 4 and an HP Photosmart C309a. My problem is that I cannot print my emails because of the "No Printers Found" issue. The printer is fully wireless and bluetooth capable.
I was able to do this initially when iOS 4 was first released, then the ability disappeared with a subsequent iOS update. I can print email attachments and other web loaded .pdf files using HP iPrint. Additionally, I was also able to connect to the printer via bluetooth and print, but that ability has also disappeared. The printer does not show up in the discoverable device menu like other bluetooth devices I have.
So, is this an Apple issue, or should I contact HP. Their support site has no info on this issue that I can find.
Your C309a is not on that list. You'll need to look at software that can share your C309 from your computer. Collobos Software has products that work on a Mac and on Windows.
Thanks for the response. I don't suppose there's any way of iPhone email linking to HP's iPrint in order to print my emails like i can do with email attachments and photographs?
