$119.98 has been STOLEN from my Itunes account. Itunes account hacked?

Someone made 2 unauthorized purchases from my account early this morning from an app called "Original Gangstaz, 2000 Street Cred, Seller: Addmired, Inc". I found out about it earlier today when i tried to purchase an app and it said there was not enough money in my account. I reported it earlier today BUT I just received the receipt for this purchase a few minutes ago. NOW when I tried to report it again, I cant find a place to even send an email. Anyone else have this problem?

In my case it was less than 24 hours, fully refunded.

The problem with the situation tinkie1993 is that if you search on Google for the names of the developers you'll see that they've been doing this for ages and Apple haven't done much about it, they'll refund the transaction but most of the rogue developers haven't been removed and just move on to the next person.

Although some advice I did spot:

On your Apple devices in the settings set a restriction to disallow purchasing within apps.

Also when you report to Apple unless you know that you've purchased something and not downloaded it ask for pending downloads to be removed. In my instance nothing was downloaded via Itunes or via my itouch so I suspect either someone's hacked Apple or more likely their using their own devices. Although when starting Itunes it reports something is pending to be downloaded which the reports on Google inform makes further purchases by itself.

I'd advise nobody to register a credit card on Apple stores, I used a itunes gift card.

Also I'd advise people to change their passwords before loading their itunes accounts up and only load cards when you want to purchase something, as the speed the transaction took place after I loaded my account suggested that they either had hacked my account in the past and was just waiting for it to be loaded with money or they'd managed to hack Apple somehow.

I think it's more trouble to get back credits from an itunes gift card. At least with a credit card the CC company will credit you account right away. Stories I've read here, with gift cards, Apple disables your account. Then it's a big hassle to get it unlocked.

My advice? Set your payment method to NONE and only put in a credit card right before you're buying something- then set the payment details back to NONE.

I suspect if you did use a credit card you might find that it could be the difference between the lower values taken and them maxing out your credit card.

Well my account is back in order so I think the itunes gift card route is possibly the best route to go with perhaps more use of the wish list function so you buy more apps in bulk than leaving credit on your account.

I am having the same problem. I have an iTunes account that I opened years ago. My account says I have not purchased anything from iTunes in 18 months (it's been longer than that by years). On 9/17/11 I had 3 charges pop up on my PayPal account from iTunes. All for the same thing (777 Poker chips). I don't have 777 poker, or any other pay-to-play poker for that matter. I think this is a PayPal issue. I used PayPal to make some EBay purchases. I haven't used PayPal much either. I normally use my credit cards. In any event, trying to contact iTunes online regarding the issue is an exercise in futility. The receipts have a "Report a Problem" link that takes you to the iTunes store. None of the links I have selected have taken me to any page that I can report a problem. Usually I end up back at the original iTunes store page. Guess I am going to have to call them. Hope I don't get Judy from India. I have 3 receipts from iTunes but my account still shows no activity. I am going to cancel my iTunes account and my PayPal account. Sellers that want PayPal only are SOL regarding my patronage.

This is still going on. My account was hacked 2 days ago (Oct 16, 2011), and I noticed since Apple sent me an email from a "do-not-reply" address saying it was suspicious. The app was from Addmired Inc. with in-app purchases made for "street credz".

What ticks me off, is that the username was an old one from when you could still use a name and not an email. This made it unique (unguessable) and the password had 14 characters, no words, a bunch of characters and numbers (like zxH&78q56}3GA1) that is changed monthly and not written down anywhere.

There is something very suspicious about this, as the username, not even my wife would guess, and the only place I use it is on iTunes on my iPad, and even then I log into a VPN when using WiFi (even at home).
