Not all song in playlist sync with IPod

Not all songs in ITunes Plylist sync with IPod. The # of songs that appears in playlists varies depending on how many playlists I'm trying to sync. For expample, if i sync the whole libruary i can see only 55 songs in one playlist on IPod, when I sync only that particular playlist I get 125 out of 127 songs...

I spent endless time at apple stores in Stamford and 5th Ave and NOBODY can fix it. The main excuse is that Apple does not fix issues when IPod is NOT working with PC eventhough I'm using their ITunes PC software. What they tried to do: 1) reinstall software on PC and IPod (5 times..), 2) Consolidate libruaries, 3) Mark all files as music, 4) Unchecked compilations.

They checked IPod and it's fully functional + it has plenty of space. Some of the song I'm trying to syc are russians. Also while going through this process Apply guys created 3-4 copies of songs in my ITunes!

Please let me know if anybody has any suggestions how to fix this issue.

I was also having this problem, but I think I solved it... sort of.... I used to have all my songs in a different Library folder I created, for organization's sake. Only after moving all that music to the defult iTunes Music folder (so I could permanently delete songs through iTunes instead of having to go through my whole library twice.) did I have this problem with some songs not showing up on iTunes. I tried moving all the songs back to my other folder, and everything seemed to sync normally again. So I suggest maybe making your own "Library" folder in your My Music folder, re-add all your songs into iTunes, resync, and see if that works. Good luck!

I would like to add my own voice to Michael's complaints. I think I should refer to iPod Touch "peculiarities".

1. My podcasts in iTunes will progress from the newest to the oldest(bottom to top). In my iPod Touch, the podcasts are played from the oldest to the newest(top to bottom).

2. On the iPod Touch, I can play all the available podcasts within a given subscription but in iTunes (on my iMac) the progression is from the newest to the oldest within a given prescription and then it keeps going into the next subscription and again plays from the newest to the oldest.

3. Like Michael, not all of my podcasts subscription are synched over from iTunes on the iMac to the iPod Touch. But then, some of them are. I've stared at the settings until I'm blue in the face and have not been able to get the same synching performance from the few as I can get from most of the subscripions.

4. I cannot figure out why Apple makes a distinction between a movie and a video podcast. Is it so that one can subscribe to a video podcast but you have to download movies separately one by one?

5. Sometimes I can delete a podcast on the iPod Touch after I've listened to it or decided not to listen to it at all and other times the delete function does not work. A work around seems to be to completely turn off the iPod Touch and then start it up again. Is the operating system that fragile on the mobile devices?

Fortunately for you all I've run out of steam for tonight but I may continue this list another day.
