Ringtones purchased on iPhone via iTunes app do not show up in settings

I bought ringtones via the iTunes app on my iPhone instead of buying ringtones through my PC.

But the 100 ringtones from a collection I bought do not show up in my settings for sound, or are listed in Contacts for assigning a ringtone to individuals.

I wanted to emphasize these are NOT custom ringtones, these are legitimate ring tones purchased from iTunes.

How can I assign the purchased ringtones to contacts and as the default ringtone when they are not listed?

On a related note, how can I delete some of the standard ringtones?

You went to the itunes apps? Clicked "More", then clicked "Ringtones" and bought from there?

If so, they should show up.

If not, then they are not ringtones but an album of sounds that can be made into ringtones. There are many free ways to do this. Google will find them. I use Garageband.

You cannot delete standard ringtones.
