What's the fastest 3.1.3 or 4.2 ?

I'm afraid to update my iPhone to 4.2 software, but alot of apps still not works on old iOS.

I've updated in the past my 3G to 4.0 and 4.1 but I had to come back to 3.1.3 because iPhone 3G with iOS 4(and 4.1) was so slow and useless (what that shame, apple!)

What's up now with 4.2? Is better then 3.1.3, equal, WORST?

1st of all, I need to know if is "fast". Thank you

iPhone 3G, iPhone OS 3.1.3, Linux is the way

Which means I will not do it. Apple should offer a way for us to go back if we are unsatifisfied with the update.

Droid Does
Blackberry Does
Symbian Does
Nokia Does
Motorola Does
Samsung Does
Sony Ericson Does

I don't know where you got that information, but I went and checked with support sites. None of the android phones sanction downgrading. There are plenty of site with instructions for doing it, but it requires hacking -- just like the iPhone. Same for Blackberry. I didn't bother with Symbian because no one takes it seriously.

What's the fastest 3.1.3 or 4.2 ?
