Can't send MMS on O2, 4.2.1 - iPhone 4

I am having problems with my iPhone 4 not being able to send MMS, on contract with O2. It is only less than 2 months old.
The guys at O2 have no idea why this is happening as all my settings are correct, even the Apple tech guys are at a loss... could this be a bug in the update? Or something to do with the O2 carrier settings?
Any help would be much appreciated 🙂

The suggested workaround to the O2 carrier settings worked a treat, but it's a shame I had to google it myself rather than O2 customer services blaming it on Apple. Thanks Peter for posting the workaround.

Sounds to me like O2 need to sort out their carrier settings, or the fault may indeed be in Apple's iOS. I'm pretty sure O2 sent a new carrier settings update when my iPhone powered up after the 4.2.1 update, so quite why they don't update then again is beyond me.
