Bootcamp 3.2 Windows 7 Brightness

I am running Windows 7 on a new 11.6 MacBook Air and I just upgraded my Bootcamp to 3.2. Clicking the brightness buttons (fn + F1) causes the little brightness icon to come up and move up or down, but the actual screen brightness won't change and stays at 100%. I don't remember this happening before I upgraded (but the computer is brand new). How can I fix this.

I have a MacBook Pro 2010 17" running with a AMD Radeon HD 6750M.
I'm running BootCamp V5 with Windows 8.1

After do the same as you did, it works as a charm!

You can fix it installing the last bootcamp version and drivers and by adding the regist automatically entry by using the following file from my creation:

If you find compatibility problems installing the last bootcamp version:

1st go command prompt (start-->type "cmd"-->execute it as admin)

2nd type cd in the command prompt and go to the apple folder of bootcamp directory

3rd type msiexec /i BootCamp.msi (or BootCamp64.msi or BootCamp32.msi) and finish installation.

Control panel => power option => advanced setting => choose balanced or high per.. or power saver .=>

Display => enable adaptive brightness put it off.

I'm having this problem too. Incredibly annoying issue. If this isn't worthy of an immediate Bootcamp update, I don't know what is.

Did another fresh Windows 7 install -- this time x86 instead of x64.

I've uninstalled all Windows updates installed yesterday except for kb976902 and a silverlight update -- neither of which seem to be uninstall-able. Brightness control still don't work. Ugh.

Same here, Win 7 x64 on MBP 2011 15". Brightness worked after first boot, then after Windows Updates, stopped. Keyboard and volume controls still work.

And my Boot Camp control panel doesn't even have a tab for brightness.

Has anyone tried modding the Catalyst 11.3 drivers to work with our card? Would the brightness settings be part of those or are they exclusive to apple?

There is a half way solution
You need to reset NVRAM pressing opt cmd+rp before boot, but this is working only until you shutdown your macbook.

Another issue :

On windows 7 64 Bits, mac book air late 2010 , bootcamp 3.2
When settings up brightness to 0% (backlight shoud be off), sometimes the backlight flashes...

I have a problen with built-in iSight camera...it won't start on skype or anything else, it says it cannot start (code 10) anyways...it works on leopard OS but i use windows 7 often... 64bit

2011 Macbook Pro 15" 8.2. Having the same issue. Brightness keys show the brightness level changing in the gui, but no brightness change actually occurs. Blarg.
