html5 is the way forward!!!!!
Yes, these people that want Flash don't realize that the iPad is not intended to be used now. It should be put in storage until such time that HTML5 takes over the web. Five years? Ten years? Who knows?
Renewable energy is the way forward. Should the use of fossil fuel be banned now?

You probably don't realize that, despite its limitations, the iPad does have redeeming qualities.
Actually quite a large percentage of web sites have already embraced HTML5 and if you're that desperate install the Apps iSwifter or Skyfire browser, I believe they convert Flash pages to HTML5 so that they can be viewed on iPad.

And just what is that percentage?

I don't suppose that you could possibly explain how you arrived at the description "that desperate." I don't recall indicating any desperation whatever. Pointing out a limitation of the iPad does not imply any desperation.
Sarcasm noted. I was only quoting someone from Apple read elsewhere on the web, possibly in another iPad group. I can't remember where and what exactly it said but I am sure Google works for you just as well as it does for me.

Yet you ascribe it to me! Please don't do that. This discussion is difficult enough without things like that.
By the way, just what is the percentage of HTML5 usage?
For video - 63% as of February of this year and growing fast.

Actually, I had hoped and believed that the figure is higher. That still leaves a lot of Flash on the web.
I never ascribed anything to you. Allan has answered your question anyway.

You said the same thing when someone posted the figure as 53% (mistakenly). I think if someone posts a figure of 93% next year you will say the same thing. Any way you look at it that is, even for technology, a rapid change but anyones standards.

Then please explain why your post with those words was sent "in response to Philly_Phan?"

I guess that it would make sense that all iPads should be put in storage until the 93% figure is reached next year?
Naah. Despite the iPad's well-known limitations, it does have redeeming qualities.
Wow, I'm sure we should send that endorsement to Mr. Jobs, he will be so relieved to hear it.
It's not me that puts 'in response to....' on email notifications - if I reply to your post as against someone else's it's the board that sticks that on.
Now can we have peace in our time, or is that too much to ask?
I suspect that he's already knows. It's just that there are many forum posters that are unaware.
