Know what I don't do? Go to their site and post thousands of times saying Dish should have it.

I don't see individuals posting thousands of posts. I see thousands of individuals posting simple requests and getting thousands of smart-assed responses.

Same thing for Flash. If users want it NOW they can use their computer or buy a smartphone or tablet that has Flash.

And there is absolutely no reason why they should be prohibited from requesting it on the iPads.

Just between you and I there are thousands of posts. And we aren't the only ones.

The hosts have actually been nice enough to allow these threads but they really don't meet the ToU. And they really are for the most part pointless. And eventually they lead some people to resorting to name calling, etc., like the rude comment, "Drop Dead".

And it doesn't matter why Charlie doesn't offer MLB, not something I can change. He actually states it is due to costs of carrying the MLBN and I'll take his word for it. I can stay with Dish or move on my choice.

... Why won't you give it to me RIGHT NOW?

Sometimes you can't what you want exactly when you want it. It's called life.

Well, the mods removed my earlier response to your thread. I suspect that deggie turned me in. Unfortunately, it's what I really meant.

Now, I hope that you can understand the frustration when someone has what they believe is a reasonable request and the response is "Look how wonderful things will be in the future."

The "Drop dead" comment was asked for and I don't regret making it. I figure that you're the one that reported me.

Rude comments? Although it hasn't happened for some time, I remember the many responses to Flash questions that alleged that parn (with an "o") is the only justification for Flash. Then, of course, there was the frequent head-banging animation. Then the rude "This must be the bazillionth request" and the lecture regarding the the "Search function" (which is NOT mentioned on the ToU). Let us not forget Neil with his very subtle count of the Flash posts. Of course, there are also the ridiculous fanboys/fangirls that state that an "enable switch" is a bad thing because the inability to receive Flash is a benefit and the switch defeats that benefit.

Comments like the above cause a reaction on the part of the recipient(s) and also are what got me riled up. You'll notice that when there is a Flash posting and the response is a variation of "It's not available on the iPad and unlikely that it ever will be available," I don't get involved. In fact, although I was involved a long time ago, I didn't jump into this recent trading of comments until you defended Apple's position by referring to HTML5 as the future. Heck, by the time that that future comes, my iPad will be long gone and the whole question will be moot. Many of us would like something well before the iPad is obsolete. Will I/we ever see it? Probably not but there is (should be) no prohibition in asking.

So you did ask. Aren't you probably the bazillionth subscriber to ask for MLB? Did you do a "Search" first?

Sorry to disappoint you Philly but it wasn't me, I responded directly to you. One of my resolutions was to stay away from the report button as much as possible for reasons unrelated to you. But it does disappoint me when you resort to such statements, I actually enjoy our mini-threads.

This guy comes in from nowhere with an insulting comment. Again, I do not regret my response.

You know what Philly Phan, it's not insulting to say you can't get everything you want when you want it. Stop taking everything so personally.

I didn't realize this was your own personal wading pool that no-one else is allowed to swim in. It's a discussion, that everyone has a right to take part in. You might not like everything that is said (ie. calling people flat out liars), but I have every right to state my opinion just like you and not be told to drop dead. Who made you the judge of what can be said here?

I, and countless others used to believe the primary reason flash is not available on the iPad, iPod, and iPhone was because JOBS dislikes Adobe. Having seen flash in action on the Android, I do now believe it is much more than any personal issues between JOBS and Adobe. Flash just blows on a portable device and it's so so on a desktop.

its always funny reading threads like these seeing the fanboys and girls responses to yet another adobe flash request thread. fact remains majority of websites used flash so to truly enjoy a full browsing experience as apple advertise on ipad tyou need flash period. it is also quite apparent that this issue is far more than technical borderline personal. in my case i paid 500gbp for my ipad 2 and well aware flash isnt supported. however i dont buy steve jobs reasons as i am not that gullible. ios software does not handle flash properly period. it would actually diminish the user experience dramatically. to date apple ios software is incapable of handling flash efficiently. adobe dont need to develop a flash player to suit apple but apple needs to adapt their firmware to run it period. i also own a motorola xoom which i use for all my flash content on the go. sadly my ipad2 is merely left at home and used more to play games etc. fact is if apple added flash to ipad 2 they would sell a **** of alot more ipads and iphones period. i for one would not need a honeycomb tablet. blackberry playbook also supports it so go figure. requesting flash support is quite appropriate and it needs it. try using a honeycomb tab and you will see why.

Flash is entirely owned and developed by Adobe on a proprietary code base that differs from operating system to operating system, yet you believe it's Apple that must get it working somehow. Riight.

If another tablet suits your needs better, sell your iPad; you'll likely get at least 80% of what you paid back and you can happily suffer through using Flash on the tablet of your choice.

Meanwhile more and more sites that were once Flash bastions now work on the iPad, so my need for Flash on iOS diminishes daily.

When I started with iPad I was just as frustrated as you as to why Apple didn't allow Flash on the iPad, but it's for a very good reason. Flash is resource hungry and is being replaced more and more widely by HTML5, so slowly but surely more and more websites are changing to that, which means better all-around compatability minus the drain on resources.
