bass clef notation doesn't get ledger lines?

bass clef notation doesn't get ledger lines?

Hi, Im trying to put a high D in the bass clef (scoring a waltz) but it wont let me. there is no ledger lines between the bass and treble clef and i was wondering how you can add them I am so frustrated. is this possible?

Macbook Pro, Mac OS X (10.6.5)

Have you tried using the "Graphic" or "piano roll" view? There's a button in the Track Editor Pane (a note on one half and two bars on the other).

ya, ive tried the piano roll view but once i have all the chords and notes in the left hand that i want, and switch back to the score view to print- that one note- that needs to be in the bass clef (high D) goes up to the treble..

GB strictly separates bass and treble clefs at the middle C - there's no way to edit that. It's not a very flexible notation editor!

well dangit thats annoying but thankyou i was kinda hoping that was not the answer, they need to fix that!

(I don't think they will - notation is not what most people use GB for. I do my sketches in GB, for ease of use, and import the file into Logic for notation. But of course you have to have Logic to do that.)
