Can i connect Sony handycam TRV320E to my iMac OSX10.5.8

Hi
I wanted to check if anyone has experience of connecting Sony handycam TRV320E with iMAC. Please let me know the following:
1. What are the hardware accessories required i,e. Cables
2. Is there any additional software that I require to play the tapes?

The software that comes standard from Sony is Picture gear 4.1 that is more suitable for a PC (Windows).

Please suggest

iMac, Mac OS X (10.5.8)

I don't have your same setup, but I think it might be possible.
I have the dcr-trv340, and I have hooked it up to my G5. I used a usb cable to transfer with iMovie. One end of the cable has the tiny camcorder connector and the other end was computer sized usb, bought it on ebay.
Once plugged in and running iMovie, I was able to control the camera from the software, as far as pulling the content off to the computer.
I didn't use the sony software, too much of a pitb.
