PowerMac G4 (Mirror Doors) won't startup

My g4 wont startup. I get the Power LED to light up while pressing it, but then it fades off after releasing. I have followed advice as per other posts about the same issue. Those who had success seemed to be a result of PMU and logic board resets, but these have not worked for me. I have gone as far as replacing the front panel board, but the machine is still not starting up. I tested the power supply voltage and it seems to be working, but I can not get this thing to work. I suppose it could be a dead logic board. Does anyone else have any suggestions before I pitch this thing?

None, its just the base package just recieved it via ebay, about to request a refund.

Is there even a video card in it or RAM or anything? It looks like a DOA machine.

not to be redundant, just trying to verify, you replaced the motherboard and your mirrordoor g4 started working again?

Remove the video card and see if the system will boot. The ADC on it could have a problem and be shorting the PSU. Wild guess, but give it a try.

I had EXACTLY the same problem with my dual 1.42 G4.
After much independent (and with Apple) troubleshooting, logic board was replaced. Luckily, I had Applecare warranty.

I have the exact same problem with my DP 1.25 G4. The symptoms throughout the ordeal have been very inconsistant and I've had the Logic Board and both processors replaced through Applecare, just discovered it STILL DOESN'T WORK. It will never sound a startup tone, the power light flickers or goes off temporarily or permanently, if it does load OS X (once every five times I try) it just freezes within a couple minutes every time. It obviously is becoming a big problem for a lot of people... I'll be taking mine back into the Apple store soon. Let you know if I figure it out.
