Ipad wont charge using the 10w charger

I am having problems with charging the Ipad.
I used the 10w charger that came with it but the Ipad doesnt show that it's charging.
I also cannot sync it to Itunes.
I tried resetting the Ipad already and connecting it to the USB port direct to the computer but it did not work

Any ideas?

When you connect the iPad to the charger does it beep? When you connect it to your computer does the iPad beep? Does iTunes see the iPad? Have you tried looking at the 30-pin end f the connector and the iPad receptacle for damage? Do you have another cable to try?
It could be that you have a bad cable.

it does not beep. i have tried several cables.
i actually went out and bought the power accessory for the ipad
if i attach it to itunes it does not see the ipad.
however if I turn off the ipad and leave it plugged overnight, the battery power increases but not by much.

This sounds like a case of visit your friendly Apple Store. If different chargers/cables give no response, iTunes doesn't recognize the iPad, then there is more than likely an internal hardware issue. Apple is very good about replacement.
