how to install webcam to Mac Mini

I am trying to install a Gear Head 1.3 Megapixel sound FX Webcam (model WC785SFX) to my mac mini with no luck. Does anyone have any suggestions.

OS X doesn't have built-in support for add-on webcams - if it came with a Mac driver, try that, otherwise you might try macam (I didn't see it in the list of supported cameras - doesn't hurt to try). Don't forget to copy the macam component to the correct Quicktime folder as per instructions.

That is not entirely true. Mac OS X has included the driver for UVC (USB Video Class) complaint webcams, even with iChat compatibility, since various Tiger updates. The camera he has purchased states that it works with a Mac. But the company that makes the webcam does not have much available in the way of online service or information.
