iMac G5 Sharing Files to Windows XP

Two phone calls to Apple Care and one chat session with Apple support caused the suppost staff confusion and did not definitively finalize my problem. But from their input and my hit and miss I have succeeded in networking my iMac G5 to my Windows XP in one direction. Both are connected through a Linksys G Router. I can get the files to the iMac but not from the iMac to the XP. What is the procedure to take a Mac file and transfer it to the Windows XP computer?

When I try to move an iMac file into the document file from Windows I get: "The operation cannot be completed because you do not have sufficient priviliges for some of the items". I just cannot figure the procedure. Thank you.

Hi Calguy, welcome to Discussions and congrads on the Imac. If you go into System Preferences => Sharing => Services... may sure Windows Sharing is checked and Printer Sharing if you are going to share a printer. I also have Personal File Sharing checked, but not sure if it is needed for Windows Sharing. Give that a try and post back the results, Bob :~))

P.S. There is a wealth of info here that one of our posters has set up for Windows/Apple sharing, (thanks ifelix)
