iPhone 3gs stuck at apple logo after restoring with 4.2

I have an iPhone 3gs, and I updated from 4.0 to 4.2, and it updated successfully, but all that i see on the screen is the apple logo. The wierd thing is that it is recognized in iTunes without any problems. It even is able to sync, but the screen just shows the apple logo. I can't recieve any calls either, but it most certainly is recognized by itunes. I have tried entering DFU mode and restoring a couple times now, but it still does the same thing. Please help!!

Thanks.

First try resetting your phone:

Press the sleep/wake button & home button at the same time, keep pressing until you see the Apple logo, then release(ignore the slide to power off).

Then see if you can force the phone into recovery mode:

Leave the USB cable connected to your computer, but NOT your phone, itunes running, press & hold the home button while connecting the USB cable to your dock connector, continue holding the home button until you see “Connect to iTunes” on the screen. You may now release the home button. iTunes should now display that it has detected your phone in recovery mode, if not quit and reopen iTunes. If you still don’t see the recovery message repeat these steps again. iTunes will give you the option to restore from a backup or set up as new.

Hi bshake44, Have you fixed this issue ? If so, how ?

I have a 3Gs and I updated to 4.2.1 and have the ipad baseband but now when I restore to default settings restore to 4.2.1,

1. iPhone stuck on apple logo
2. Phone detected in itunes and all information and also can be synced.

Its been a week and I dont know what should I do with it.
Thanks.
