Does iMovie '11 support .3gp files?

I'm trying to open a video from my phone, the Incredible, into iMovie '09, but it looks like it doesn't support .3gp files. Does the newest version of iLife, particularly iMovie '11, support .3gp files? All I really need to do it rotate the videos since my phone takes them horizontally, but I can't get them to open up.

iMac, Mac OS X (10.6.5)

3gp is not supported with iMovie, you should first convert 3gp to mp4 or mov with Total Video Converter from App store , or download form its official site if App store is not available to you .

After conversion, import the converted mp4 or mov video to iMovie 11 for editing.

There is nothing that indicates that iMovie supports .3gp. Have you tried iPhoto?

Yes, but you can't edit a video in iPhoto '09 that I'm aware of, except to "Trim" it. Maybe the '11 version does, not sure?

If you can get it into iPhoto you can probably export it from iPhoto to a format that will work in iMovie.

Just wanted to add to this in case a solution hasn't yet been found: just change the 3GP extension to m4v. That simple! - at least with my blackberry video files (ugh… don't ask).
