Is the Macbook Air a good fit for a Psychology and Fine Arts major?

I'm trying to figure out which notebook would best fit my life style. I love the Macbook Air because its thin and small and would be easy to carry around with me. Since, I am a college student with a double major I have a ton of stuff I carry with me most of the time from books to art supplies or my portfolio. I would need my new computer for writing, note taking, any other college work and storage for pictures since, I would have to take pictures of my work and upload them to create a digital portfolio.

Macbook, Mac OS X (10.3.x)

The MacBook Air 11" would be perfect for you. I use mine for the same things and works without a glitch. It's lighter than an average book and the screen size for me is perfect. Having the shorter screen makes it feel more portable and sturdy in my opinion as I also have a 2009 13". I opted for the 128G upgrade to assure I have enough space, but to be honest I could have gone with the smaller hard drive and be fine.

Hope it all works out,

It sounds like the MBA would be a good fit, but you might want to focus your attention on the 13 inch MBA. The 13 is a 16X10 aspect ratio, with a lot more screen real estate than the 11, which might cramp your portfolio display from the vertical perspective. Also, double majors tend to have very long days, and the extra battery run time of the 13 will come in handy. Remember that the 13 also has an SD Memory Card slot.
