service to replace your faulty/broke/no service iphone

I have come across this on ebay, the seller is replacing iphones for people and charging £35 or £45. How does this service work ? Is it legitimate? And i did email one of his buyers they stated they had a "no service" iphone which was blacklisted replaced, surely this sounds very dubious as the only reason phones in the UK are blacklisted is due to them being lost or stolen.

But, all the buyers have had there iphones replaced and returned brand new iphones. Is this guy scamming apple or are apple not bothered about the status of the iphone & will replace it if its under warranty?

All the 'buyers' say they have had their phones replaced with new ones.

Do you have any verification that this is actually true other than some comments posted in the internet?

Beware, comments are easy to type and hard to verify.

I'll explain the scam to you. He cons people into paying him to send him their faulty phone. He does a repair order with Apple with a bogus credit card. Apple ships him a replacement phone in good faith and he never sends your broken handset in. He fixes it himself and then sells it on ebay.

Not only has he conned you out of £40, he also makes additional money by selling your phone on ebay.
