Printing Coupon from Coupons.com and Bricks

Ok so all of a sudden this morning printing coupons at both of these websites did not work. Every-time I goto either website it says I have to install the coupon printer. I have downloaded this before because I was able to print coupons before today. I tried using firefox, safari, and google chrome none of them worked. I have tried deleting and reinstalling the coupon printer and no luck. Anyone ever have this problem before when it all of a sudden stopped working? If so any help is much appreciated and Happy Holidays!!!

There is a coupons.com app for iPhone (and I assume that it is compatible with the iPad). It is supposed to be able to work with AirPrint, but apparently the program only prints to HP printers, which I believe was the first printer company to adopt AirPrint. I have an AirPrint enabled Brother printer, and the app will not print to my printer because it only looks for HP printers. This is something that you will most likely have to take up with coupons.com. Good luck with that. When it comes to using their website on a computer, all I got was a stock answer reply. I can only expect their customer service with their iOS app to be just as bad.

There is a known issue with printing coupons with coupon.com software. They are aware of it, there tech even sent me some beta software to try and and that didn't work for me either. After that they just quit trying to solve the problem. I've emailed them a numbe of times and they don't respond. I've isolated the file in their software that is causing the problem but they told me they knew that and never responded again, it's been almost a year now.

Hello Mr. Bailey,

Our coupon-printing technology is currently supported on the following computer operating systems and web browsers:

Microsoft Windows 7, Vista, XP, Server 2003, and 2000 -- when used with Internet Explorer 6.0 or higher, Mozilla Firefox 2.0 or higher, Netscape Navigator 8.0 or higher, Google Chrome, Apple Safari, Opera, and most MSN and AOL browsers.

Macintosh OS X 10.7 (Lion), 10.6 (Snow Leopard), 10.5 (Leopard), and 10.4 (Tiger) -- when used with Safari 2.0 or higher and Firefox 2.0 or higher.

Note: The Coupon Printer may not work with "beta" releases of supported browsers, and is disabled in virtual computing environments. Additionally, if you are operating a 64-bit version of Windows, then print from the 32-bit version of Internet Explorer.

If you are having trouble printing and feel that you are on a supported operating system and web browser, try to print again using another supported browser to see if your print issue is specific to that browser or part of a wider issue. If you don't have another one of these web browsers installed on your computer yet, they are available free for download on the Internet. Just search for them by name.

Some internet security programs and firewall settings contain a feature known as "Stealth Browsing" or "Anonymous Browsing" , which is designed to hide the identity of your web browser from the Internet. The false label created in place of your browser's true identity may result in our site identifying it as an unsupported browser. Disabling this feature will allow your compatible web browsers to pass the browser compatibility check on our site.

If you still need assistance, please send an email to support@couponsinc.com.

Thank you,

"Don't bother with support from coupons.com--they are useless."

Saw the above comment, had to speak...

All kinds of reasons your coupons may not print, including sometimes the "print limit is reached" which can trip you up. Here's the test site - http://b.coupons.com/z.asp

Anyways... I actually had help from the guy at coupons.com a few times. If you leave a message he will eventually get back to you. BE POLITE.

It's not like theyre waiting at your beck and call just so you can get coupons.

Good luck

I will add that my comment "Don't bother with support from coupons.com--they are useless" is my experience nonetheless echoed by many, many other Mac users. Perhaps "Greg" is now the exception and not the rule? I have addressed this issue with coupons.com for *years* and all I have to show for it is their same placating response cut and pasted year after year, inquiry upon inquiry. It matters not--dealing with getting coupons to print from coupons.com is a widely varied experience and coupons.com seems slow to address Macintosh issues.

I have tried over 40 times to do this, even 5 more times tonight and then started messing with my printer settings on my own.

I changed my Safari setting to 32 bit (finder, applications Safari, right click "get info" and checked the little "Open in 32 bit" box.

Then went to System Preferences, Print and scan, right clicked "set default printer" next to the printer, and unchecked "share this printer on the network." (I have 3 printers...)

It worked for me. I even set it back to the original settings in sharing and it still works. (Printers are Brother, HP and Epson.) HTH someone.

Wattz - Perhaps this might help solve some frustration.

I've found some of the sites (Red Plum + Smartsource + Bricks (I think) tend to be fickle... at least for me.

(I'm running ML 10.8.4)

In addition to running Java... I can ONLY print when:

1) Using Firefox

2) Connected via USB directly to my printer (not wireless)

When I want to print more than the two coupons allowed - I have to bring my wifes laptop to my work area, connect directly to printer, and change printer default.

(Have same physical printer / but 2 printer set-ups - one wireless, one direct)

Hope this helps.

Ive been having the same problem. When I print from coupons.com, they print tiny. Im using a Canon Pixma MG3220 printer. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling the coupon printer program but that didnt help, I tried putting Safari in 32-bit mode and that didnt work either. I emailed the customer service people at coupons.com and they said to remove the printer software and reinstall it but i cant figure out to do that. What do I do????

Dec 11, 2013 10:25 AM in response to ikillu

This is a frustrating problem to have. The only way I can get it to work is if there is only one printer setup on my machine. If there is more than one printer it won't work, it just hangs there acting like it's loading, but never does anything. If I delete all printers (System Preferences > Print & Scan) from my list except one, then it works perfectly. Not the best solution for me because I use this computer for work as well and need access to different printers in the office, but nevertheless it works.

Issue: Coupons printing too small from an iMac.

Solution: Change your screen resolution prior to printing.

Current Settings: 64-bit iMac running 2560x1440 screen resolution.

Steps:
1. Click the apple icon in the upper left hand corner of the screen.
2. Click System Preferences.
3. Click Displays icon.
4. From the Display tab click the Scaled button.
5. Change the resolution from 2560x1440 to 1280x720.
6. Print your coupons.
7. After printing, change your display back to "Best for display" from the same location.

It works for me.
